Startup with growth potential

We could do it all ourselves, from interviews and target audience research to coming up with a catchy name and designing a logo and brand identity. But that wasn’t enough. We toiled over developing a product, setting suitable prices, and creating a visual strategy. We even designed and developed an entirely new webshop from scratch. The result: hundreds of orders in the first week, monthly revenue records, and hundreds of top 3 positions on Google.

Target audience research

A lot of people buy plants in garden centers and not online, so we needed a darn good strategy to break this pattern. Based on interviews, we conducted extensive research on the target audience. Their concerns ranged from not being able to estimate the size of a plant online to insufficient knowledge about plant care. The research findings were incorporated into a comprehensive plan of action and a blueprint of the design. Then we got to work on the name, logo, visual strategy, and branding elements. All of which came together to become Plantery.

Focus on UX

All elements were developed in minute detail in the UX design of the webshop. At every stage, we guided webshop visitors and addressed their concerns. We provided handy product suggestions, good photography to estimate the size of the plants, and filters for the most frequently asked questions from online plant buyers.

High-end product photography

Plantery stands out with high-end product photography, in line with the content and visual strategy of the plant webshop. Premium e-commerce photography allows the consumer to really see the product. A unique set was created for each plant size to estimate the correct height. The photos were produced in high quality, allowing us to combine pots and plants afterwards without having to photograph each one separately. Close-ups of the different plants were also captured.

Lifestyle photography

Plantery had to become a luxury brand, which is why we chose to give extra attention to the photography. High-quality lifestyle images were taken in homely settings to provide a realistic image of the plants, colors, and textures. The results of this photography were used in content campaigns and on the website.

Digital marketing campaigns

In addition to campaigns with Google Ads, Meta, and Pinterest, search engine optimization (SEO) was an important part of the strategy. With a clever technical structure and optimization, as well as an extensive content strategy, we managed to appear on the first page of Google with over 700 keywords within 3 months. We also have dozens of number one positions and set new organic traffic records every month. Plantery has become the leader in search engines.
